In response to shifting market demands, a former 102,000 sq. ft. Debenhams store within the Houndshill Shopping Centre underwent a transformative conversion into a Multi-fascia Store including Sports Direct, Flannels & Frasers. The project entailed a partial soft strip of the existing space, alongside a full fit-out of Frasers Group’s specifications. The primary challenge was to seamlessly integrate the new store while utilizing the existing mechanical and electrical (M&E) infrastructure, all while minimizing disruption to neighbouring stores and adhering to a stringent timeline.

Works included:

• Existing centre management services maintained at all times

• Provision of fire rated hoarding and wireless fire/alarm system

• Installation of new partitions, flooring and BOH staff facilities

• New signage and refurbishment of existing shopfront

• Modifications to existing sprinkler systems

• Formation of new stockrooms with RFID features

• Utilisation of existing M&E infrastructure to optimize efficiency and minimise costs

• Bespoke niches and bulkhead constructed and finished with Durafinish

• New doors & frames to new and existing opens

• New marble, hardwood and ceramic floors

• New glass shopfront with Iconic black aerofoil fin detail, unique to Flannels

• Combination of multiple different floor finishes (tiling, carpets, timber)

• Various suspended mirrored ceiling features
